Clos de la Torre has now been awarded at the Les Olivalies competition in France
Clos de la Torre extra virgin olive oil, produced by the company Oleícola de l’Empordà, located at Rabós d’Empordà (Alt Empordà), has earned the silver medal at the “Les Olivalies International Olive Oil Competition 2016”, in Cannes (France). The French competition Les Olivalies is organized by French Union of Oenologists and its objective is highlighting the complementary relationship between the cultivation of grapes and olives and recognizing those olive oils with a high level of quality approaching the optimal expression of taste in each class. This competition, even though it is among the most recent creations of those that exist at the international level, is being very well received and it hosts numerous samples of extra virgin olive oil from different producers around the world.
This distinction was awarded by a jury made up of judges from France and from other countries who rated the samples of extra virgin olive oil on offer.
This prize can be added to those already received in other countries such as Israel, Italy, Argentina, or the United States.
The manager of the company, Martí Clos, said “these awards are the result of effort and hard work and they help us to be more and more present in International Markets”.
